Blog Monetization: Technorati Engage Blogger Ad Network
December 4, 2008 · Gadgets and Tech
Blog monetization is a hot topic for anyone who is blogging for money. Among the many options you have to monetize your blog, ad networks tend to be the lowest maintenance. In our client experience, you can make a decent amount of money if you have the traffic to pull in clicks to advertisers. A new entrant to the game of blogger ad networks now includes Technorati Engage, launched by Technorati Media (yep, that Technorati).
Technorati Engage Highlights
Bloggers and Publishes are given the option of control. For bloggers in particular, you are given the option to control what ads show on your blog, how much you will charge for advertisers, you can choose the category of advertisers you want to deal with, and much more.
Most of revenues go to blogger. This is a nice change from other ad networks, Technorati Engage gives a 60/40 split, 60 for the blogger.
There are different ad formats. Text, image based, and a combination of both - sure to fit into any blog layout and design.
Add rotation and CPC ad filling included. More than one ad will rotate in the ad box, and if no ad is available CPC ads will be served up.
Easy payment options. Bloggers can be paid via PayPal, Wire Transfer, or Check.
You can check out the FAQs for publishers here or head on over and sign-up here.
Note: This is definitely a blogger for money option, if you’re running a business blog or service professional blog, you’d want to consider your blog objectives before considering monetization techniques like ad networks. Rarely is this an option for you, given your other objectives.
